Angst?
Yes. Why? Because all these damn hipsters have infested the bike world and are ruining it.
All of a sudden it's all about the "Look how cool I am in my striped pants and Bell Moto III!" type of shows. Where is the riding? The Hooliganism? The scraped engine cases, elbows, and pegs? PBR IS SHIT BEER MOTHERFUCKERS!!! Oh, and by the way, Arcade Fire was NEVER cool.
Growing Problem?
Hipsters again. Thanks to them, and to a lesser extant, those Dentists and Lawyers who switched from buying Harleys to buying Vintage foreign iron, supplies of my two favorite bikes are gone. Parts I need to complete my two Honda's are through the roof, and forget about finding a BMW R80/90/100!
Fucking Hipster Douchebags.

Wow, I knew I would be writing things up here infrequently, but I didn't think a year and a day would go by between posts. I think I pegged the slackmeter.
So, Last week, I finally got to put my rims for the K in a bead cabinet, scouring all the rust and crud off and prepping the chrome surface for acid etch primer. The front has some areas of pitting, but nothing really bad, it's mostly on the inside. The rear rim, however, has some problems of it's own. When last I re-spoked it, I went with heavier spokes that required drilling my rim's nipple holes out another 32nd" or so. all the holes had rust and "mushrooming, with one hole having mushroomed enough to where I think the nipple could pass through it. Got it sorted with peen and file though, and the acid-etch went on without a hitch. Now for UPS to deliver my paint and spokes. Tuesday the front hub goes down to the machinist to get 5mm taken off one disc mount, and the GL speedo drive machined down to match the CB drive. This will allow the use of the F front brakes.
The rims are going to be Cosmos Blue, with Anthracite hubs. The bike itself will be all black, with the blue rims, anthracite hubs, and a Cosmos Blue racing stripe down the black tank.

Alpha Post.
Well, I've decided to take the plunge and start a blog to document the progress of both my Company and it's products, namely cool bike builds and the occasional part, as well as share any cool things I see that are relevant to my interests.. I am going to rebuild, one at a time, my two '70's Honda CB750's. These two bikes are going to be like my business cards. They will not be for sale, but you can see what I can do. Then I will start picking up what mongrels I can find and transform them into nasty, fast little fuckers of a stripped down nature, and offer them for sale.
The two Hondas are as follows;
1978 CB750K8
This is my first bike, given to me by Special Ed of Bowie,Md. when he joined the Army. This bike has broke my heart, leaving me stranded at 2 in the morning in the boonies with a bad condensor, and broke my Tailbone when it allowed my Hamfist to write a check the rear tire couldn't cover. The first thing I did with it was throw on Clubman bars and a Jardine 4/1 pipe, replacing the rust holed original 4/4. The second thing I did was pick up a '77 CB750F parts bike and put the forks, rim, and brakes on the K, and thus, FrankenBike was born!
This scratched polaroid is the only known photo in existence of FrankenBike in it's daily driver days.
This is it now, on the Surgeon's table. It has sat since '04, but there is no rust in the jugs and she turns freely. I want to go back to a spoked front rim, and am working on the dual disc setup now. At this stage, I am just getting it running and rideable. All the fancy crap I have planned will wait until I get it back on the road again. Except the tank and brakes.I am painting the tank black, with a bright blue racing stripe. Once I have it to the point of wearing tags and an Inspection sticker, meaning it runs again, then I will start Stage 2 of it's build. I will need a new name as well, as it will no longer be FrankenBike with the F front rim gone...Or will it? My Disc conversion involves parts from 3 different bikes, so maybe...If the Wife does not like riding on the back of it, then It will get bobbed or cafe'd, I just can't decide which. If she does like it, then it will look like a mutant Cafe/Tracker
with that long Honda seat.
1977 CB750F2
Wearing the K's rear rim so it can be rolled around.
This one I bought off of FeeBay, from a police Mechanic somewhere in New Jersey. It was all white and chrome, except the wheels, they were left alone. It's been bored to 836cc's, Wiseco pistons, Wabco steel brake lines, and a tail section with a spoiler built in. I put the seat and tail from the F parts bike on it. It's a Corbin Gunfighter, but I don't like tthe length and look. Also the chrome was done by a moron who plated directly to the aluminum, without laying down copper and nickel first. There are pits and blooms everywhere. This bike has also sat since '04. I removed the top end to replace a leaking headgasket. Now I need to hone the cylinders and replace the studs as rust has set in.
More on this one when I start building it. I intend to turn it into a racebike with lights.
